Construction Job Training

Construction laborers are in high demand in the Lewiston/Auburn area.

Statewide, there are over 1,300 jobs in the construction field available.

Through specialized training, you could be employed and working by the start of the spring construction season.

What are the requirements for this training?

  • Interest in construction as a career
  • 6th grade reading and math skills
  • You must be able to get to work, on time
  • Have transportation
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Clean drug screen
  • Work authorization
  • High school diploma (or HiSET), and a driver’s license are preferred but not required.

Attendance at an information session is mandatory. Assessment, employer interview and candidate selection will take place before class begins. Enrollment is from Feb. 19 to March 2. Class begins March 5. The training will run 12 weeks and requires day and some evening hours.
