Find Child Care
Choosing Child Care is one of the most important decisions you as a parent can make for your child. Good child care can have a positive and lasting effect upon the development of your child and allow you peace of mind while at work. When you have found a program that fits your families’ needs, it is vital that you stay involved by asking questions and finding time daily to talk with your provider about your child.
Beginning on April 1, 2012, due to significant fiscal and structural changes, we will provide Resource and Referral Services through the Office of Child and Family Services in Augusta and not through the 8 regional Resource Development Centers. The following details how families and providers can access information as it relates to Child Care Services after April 1, 2012:
For any family seeking information on Child Care, they can access this in 2 ways:
2. Through our toll free line at 1-877-680-5866
2. By calling our office at (207) 624-7909
3. By contacting Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) online at http://muskie.usm.maine.edu/maineroads/contact.htm or 1-888-900-0055
In addition, for Early Care and School Age providers seeking training and professional development assistance after April 1, 2012, the Office of Child and Family Services has asked Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) to deliver required trainings in a way that ensures continued access throughout the State of Maine. After April 1, 2012 for any individual looking for training and professional development information, please contact Maine Roads to Quality, 1-888-900-0055 or http://muskie.usm.maine.edu/maineroads/
As we transition through the changes based on this decision, we appreciate your patience, understanding and continued efforts to support all children in Early Care, Education and School Age settings.
